Professional Actress Janet Rodgers Performs One-Woman Show for RPS Students
Professional actress and professor emerita Janet Rodgers brought her powerful one-woman show Gut to the Renda Black Box Theater on September 30.
The show shares the true story of Irena Gut Opdyke, a young Polish Catholic woman who risked everything to save Jewish lives during WWII.
Rodgers, whose career has spanned Off-Broadway and decades of teaching at Virginia Commonwealth University, gave students in Cora Turlish's acting classes, the History Club, and beyond a moving lesson in courage and compassion.
We would like to thank alum parent Phyllis Marganoff, mother of Danielle Marganoff ’03, for making this performance by her good friend Janet possible.
